Level 2 Award In Food Safety In Catering
Apr 3 @ 9:30 am – 5:00 pm

This qualification will benefit anyone working in a situation where food is prepared, cooked and served; it is relevant to all catering operations.

Successful completion of the training programme and assessment will enable candidates to understand:

  • The terminology used in food safety
  • Legislation relating to food businesses and food handlers
  • Food hazards and containing the risk of food poisoning
  • Product and equipment temperatures
  • Minimising bacterial multiplication
  • The importance of high temperatures in the supply of safe food
  • That food handlers can pose a risk to food safety
  • Appropriate storage conditions for different foods
  • The importance of cleaning in food premises
  • The need for high standards for structure & equipment to promote good hygiene in food premises

*There is an examination at the end of the course and certificates will be issued to all who pass within 6 weeks of the course date.

*Please note: this is a course only for people in the Voluntary Sector and Community Groups.

*Additional note: Photo I.D. is required to sit the examination.

A newly designed course to help you with buying and selling on eBay. 

Offering tips and advice on how to maximize your eBay experience, either as a buyer, seller or both. 

Small tutor led classes with a maximum of 10 learners. 
  • The buying side, explaining the bidding system, your responsibilities as a buyer and feedback. 
  • The selling side, with hints and tips, covering the best time to sell, your responsibilities as a seller and feedback. 
There will be practical exercises to listing items and an opportunity to set up your own eBay account.

A free 5 week introductory course for adults, in a small group,  who have recently arrived in the UK and want to improve their English and learn about British Culture

Let’s Talk English for Improvers @ Earley Crescent Resource Centre

A 5 week English conversation course, in a mall group, for adults who want to improve their English speaking skills under the supervision of an experienced Tutor.
