Emergency First Aid at Work @ Earley Crescent Resource Centre

A one day course for people in the Voluntary Sector and Community Groups.

Introduction to English Language and Culture @ Earley Crescent Resource Centre

A free 5 week introductory course for adults, in a small group,  who have recently arrived in the UK and want to improve their English and learn about British Culture

 

Topics include:

    • Introductions and meeting new people
    • Daily life in the UK
    • Out and about in town
    • Housing and asking for help
    • Healthcare and visiting the Doctor

***REGISTRATION MORNING: Tuesday 30th April 2019 at 9.30am – 12 noon. You must attend this session to enrol and pay the deposit to secure your place.

Let’s Talk English for Improvers @ Earley Crescent Resource Centre
May 7 @ 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm

A 5 week English conversation course, in a mall group, for adults who want to improve their English speaking skills under the supervision of an experienced Tutor.  

 

      • Have fun speaking English in an informal setting
      • Express and share your experiences and opinions
      • Topics include family, shopping, travel, schools and much more.

Introduction to using your Apple iPad @ Earley Crescent Resource Centre
Jun 5 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

A 5-week course to cover all the basic actions needed to get started with your Apple iPad.

Small, tutor led classes with a maximum of 10 learners. 
To Cover:
  • Using the Settings app, updates and WiFi connections
  • Touch screen actions and using the virtual keyboard (Notes and Reminders apps)
  • Using the App Store
  • Grouping and deleting apps
  • Using Safari/Siri and Spotlight search
  • Using the camera app and sharing photos
*Please note: Suitable for those learners who have no or very little experience. Learners need to use their own Apple iPad which must have at least 50% battery life at the beginning of each session.

Excel for Beginners @ Earley Crescent Resource Centre

A newly designed and updated 5 week course for those who are new to Excel, have limited knowledge, or would like to update their skills. 

Next Steps Excel

  • Exel 2013 layout
  • Using and building Formula
  • Using built – in formula (functions), such as Autosum, AV, Max and MIn
  • Saving and Printing workbooks.
