Our history

The Earley CResCent Community Association is a membership organisation formed in 1998 to build a Resource Centre funded by charitable donations.

The Association became a registered charity in December 1998 and subsequently in June 2002, became a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee.

The Earley CResCent Community Resource Centre was opened in January 2003 to provide for the needs of voluntary and community organisations, and the local residents of Earley and the surrounding area.

The centre is governed by a Board of Trustees, all of whom are local people and many who have been involved since the beginning, and has a large staff team of volunteers.

The building was designed to allow for flexible use, to respond to the requirements of the community support and development. The success of the centre has grown through many partnerships and provides a focal point for the community, where it facilitates many of its activities, training and information provision.

I cannot think of a more friendly place to go. It has so many things to offer, not joust courses but it’s a great place to meet and have a coffee!
